Purpose and aims of the Safe Church Box:
The aim of this box is to empower children, youth and churches to build loving and safe communities of faith. It is based on biblical texts and principles for child safe organisations. It includes activities for the young and old(er) alike.
The Safe Church Box aims:
· to equip every congregation with easy access to Government and church policy documents relating to child safety and safe church
· to inform and educate children and adults about their rights and healthy boundaries
· to empower change through interactive activities which invite children and adults to articulate and apply safety practices
· to inspire us all to listen deeply to God, each other and ourselves as we learn and practice healthier ways of being in community
The Safe Church Box contains the following:
1 x A4 clear pouch – overview, matrix, policy documents, USB, 2x sharpies
4 x A4 coloured pouches - session overview, laminated master worksheets, copies of worksheets
1 x A5 pouch – bookmarks and Kooyoora wallet cards
4 x Books - (God Made All of Me, God Made Me Unique, Made by God & Jesus and the Children)
