Kooyoora Achieves QIC Health and Community Services Standards Accreditation
We are proud to announce that Kooyoora has achieved full accreditation under the QIC Health and Community Services Standards (7th Edition v1.1, 2024), following assessment by Quality Innovation Performance Limited(QIP).
This accreditation provides independent recognition that Kooyoora meets nationally recognised standards across governance, service delivery and organisational performance. It demonstrates that robust systems, policies and practices are in place to support safe, effective and accountable services for the people and communities we serve.
About the QIC Standards
The QIC Health and Community Services Standards are widely used across Australia as a benchmark for quality in health and community services. The Standards assess organisations across key areas including organisational governance, workforce capability, risk management, information management, safety, cultural responsiveness and person-centred service delivery. Achieving accreditation requires a comprehensive review of how an organisation operates, ensuring that systems are not only in place, but are consistently applied and regularly reviewed.
Independent Assessment Process
For Kooyoora, this process involved an independent assessment of organisational practices, documentation and service delivery approaches. It also required evidence that systems are embedded in everyday work, supporting continuous monitoring, learning and improvement. Achieving full accreditation confirms that Kooyoora has demonstrated alignment with these standards across all areas of assessment.
Safeguarding and Service Quality
The achievement of accreditation reflects the strength of organisational systems that support safe, respectful and inclusive environments for our clients, communities and staff. This includes strong governance structures, clear accountability, a capable and supported workforce, and service delivery approaches that prioritise dignity, respect and client voice.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
For the people and communities we serve, this accreditation reinforces a clear focus on continuous improvement, enhancing quality and accountability in how services are delivered. It provides reassurance that Kooyoora is committed to maintaining high standards, responding to community needs, and continually strengthening the way services are designed and delivered.
Accreditation is not a one-off achievement. It represents an ongoing commitment to review, reflect and improve. Through this process, Kooyoora will continue to build on existing strengths, identify opportunities for development, and ensure services remain responsive, effective and safe.
This achievement reflects the dedication and professionalism of staff across the organisation, as well as the support of partners and the communities who contribute to ongoing improvement and accountability.
This is an important milestone for Kooyoora, and we thank our team for their dedication and our communities for their continued trust in our work.
