New Safeguarding Resource Available: The Protective Behaviours Box

Empower. Educate. Protect.

We’re excited to share the Protective Behaviours Box, a thoughtfully curated kit by the Anglican Diocese of Bendigo, created specifically for faith communities to help children, young people and communities engage in meaningful conversations and activities that promote loving, safe and confident spaces.

What is the Protective Behaviours Box?

The Protective Behaviours Box is a group based resource that supports shared learning and discussion through interactive activities, empowering change by inviting children and adults to articulate and apply safety practices. Based on biblical texts and principles for child safe organisations, it can be used in safeguarding education, ministry activities and facilitated group discussions.

This box isn’t just a resource, it’s a way to start important conversations, strengthen connections, and support safety in your community every day.

What’s included?

Each Protective Behaviours Box contains a comprehensive collection of interactive resources and activity packs, including:

  • Books designed for children and young people

  • Materials that support learning about rights, healthy boundaries and safety

  • Tools to assist families and groups to talk openly about safety

  • Session guides, worksheets and supporting documents

  • Interactive items such as wooden figures, puzzles and games

All resources are stored in clearly labelled pouches, making the box easy to use across multiple sessions and settings.

Who is it for?
