Jenny Wing joins the Professional Standards Committee

Kooyoora is delighted to announce the appointment of Jenny Wing to the Professional Standards Committee.

Jenny Wing holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Graduate Diploma in Family Therapy. For the past 30 years she has worked with children, adolescents and their families to address the impacts of abuse-related developmental trauma. Jenny has worked in roles focusing on issues of child protection, out of home care, family violence, sexual assault and harmful sexual behaviours. Throughout her career, Jenny has presented her work nationally and internationally at conferences.

Between 2006-2009 she was also a visiting lecturer in South Korea’s professional development program for Social Workers. Jenny has a special interest in working with families affected by sibling sexual abuse and over the past decade has been involved in developing programs to treat harmful sexual behaviours, prevent the continuation of these behaviours, and support children and family relationships to recover from the devastation of sexual abuse. Since 2020 Jenny has been the Chair of the Victorian Harmful Sexual Behaviour Network and a Board member of Sexual Assault Services Victoria, Victoria’s peak body for sexual assault. Since 2018 she has also been a member of Tasmania’s Family Violence Consultative Committee.

The safety and protection of all children is of paramount importance in all of Jenny’s work.
